When one thinks of Valentine’s Day beauty, images of sultry voluminous waves, heavy lashes and a bright red lip tend to come to mind. Most women probably assume that guys go for a very sex-ified look on a romantic holiday like Valentine’s Day, but I’m here to tell you that’s not always the case! While studies do show that men are more attracted to women in red (including women wearing red lipstick), it can sometimes be a turnoff when it comes to actually kissing them. While they love the look, guys worry (rightfully so!) that kissing a woman with red lipstick will ultimately cause smears of red all over his own face, which puts them off a bit.
If you’re looking to get smooched this Valentine’s Day, go for something a little more subtle and natural (there are also studies that say men prefer natural looking makeup in general, so win-win).
