Midsummer Night’s Style in Florence

Florence is one of my favorite cities in the whole world, it just oozes charm, history and style. I recently got the chance to visit there again to shoot with the Italian retailer, Luisaviaroma. It all felt like something out of a movie – picking out these gorgeously tailored clothes to model in one of the most dreamy settings. We actually shot at a private palazzo, Villa Corsini, once owned by the infamous Medici family – in the vineyards just above the city. As the sun was setting, the owner of the villa (an actual descendant from the property’s original family) popped the cork on a bottle of beautiful red wine. Shooting in the garden’s stunning maze made my imagination run wild, thinking about the glamorous parties that must have been thrown at this estate.

For the shoot I picked this oversized, crisp white shirt and relaxed leather trousers to play with proportions. I balanced out the soft colors and loose silhouette with sleek hair and darker shoes. Since I wore my hair back, I went for statement earrings (how killer are they?!) and a matte berry red lip to add an unexpected pop. I wore this look straight out to an event later that night, and it was such a chic alternative to a little black dress. Sometimes a top and trousers combo can be just as glamourous to wear on a night out.
