One of my favorite American traditions is Thanksgiving. It’s always such a lovely time to sit around a table with the friends and family you love the most, good food, and of course wine. A warm and rustic tablescape sets the mood perfectly – this one only took about 10 minutes to put together! I designed my table around this gold-trimmed vintage china which I scored from a local boutique here in LA (tip: try flea markets for ornate, old china, and if there isn’t a full set available, it’s even cuter to mix and match pieces). This gold-tipped flatware from Anthropologie makes the setting a touch more modern, and since they’re half silver, half gold, you can mix in other colors of metal if you choose to, like bronze and pewter.
I picked up the natural fiber table runners and mismatched candles from World Market, which is a really good secret place to buy homewares and foods from around the globe. They have so many different styles to choose from, anything from farmhouse, to shabby chic, to minimalist. Lastly, pick up some winter yams and pumpkins from a local specialty market, and add a touch of green with a sprig of fresh rosemary tied with twine. Your turkey and pumpkin pie will look right at home in the middle – cheers!
