A pale palette isn’t my normal go-to. Pastels are pretty, but they’ve often seemed a little too girly on me, and the jump from admiring them on the runway to wearing them on rotation was a long shot. That is, until I met this pretty little set! A milky mint so light that it’s almost white; it caught my eye because of its fabric: thick, structured neoprene with a really cool, minimalist feel.
I styled out out with some statement pieces: a big, unapologetically spangly necklace, which layers over conservative crew neck tops so nicely. One of my favorite rings, it’s actually one that I’ve worn before but never with such a classic outfit. And lastly, a pair of darker heels to juxtapose with this icy hue and make the look ready for Fall. I’d love to know what do you think… are you liking this ladylike outfit?

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
