Let’s talk beauty basics! These are the items I use day-in and day-out (well, except for the glitter, which I use for nights out, but it’s too pretty not to include!) My arsenal of makeup favorites is made up of warm taupes, soft pinks, bronze and beige. A very neutral palette to get that glowy, dewy skin. I like to feel natural, not overdone, when I head out to meetings and run errands.
I start with Benefit Erase Paste No. 2, which hides my eye circles (I get those quite badly), and brightens as it conceals. Then I add some color with Lancome Star Bronzer in 02 Sunkiss along my cheekbone and jawline, for definition. I use Nars Eyeshadow Palette in Fairy’s Kiss on my eyes, with the darker colors on the outer edges of my sockets, and if I’m going to a party, the MAC Glitter in Tan or Reflects Copper adds the most incredible sheen and glimmer on my eyelid. I just had to be super careful applying it, or I end up with a sparkly chin and nose! Finally, I dab Givenchy Waterproof Mascara on my lower lashes, which doesn’t rub off on my under-eye area, and really opens the eyes up wide.
I switch up my nails all the time, but when I’m tanned, I love Butter Nail Varnish in Goss. For my lips, I’m a creature of habit. I will play up my eyes, but the lips tend to stay the same: natural, plumped and glossy. I start by lining and filling in with with Lancome Beige Rose Lip Pencil. I don’t know what I’d do without this product. Then I layer a combination of No. 7 BB Lips and Mii Lipgloss in Flow over the top.
10 minutes and I’m out the door!
