I first saw these jars of cookies on Pinterest and thought they were both adorable, affordable totally simple to DIY. I was right, and I made a few for my Valentines this year! Here’s a super simple how-to for you to share some sweetness with your friends this February 14th.
Ingredients
1 quart mason jar
1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup oats
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
decorative twine or ribbon
construction paper
Step 1: Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Pour into empty and dry mason jar.
Step 2: Pour the oats over the flour mixture, then the chocolate chips over the oats, then the brown sugar and finally the white sugar.
Step 3: Seal your mason jar and wrap your ribbon or twine around it. Write baking instructions, available below, for your recipient onto the construction paper and tie on.
