Our 1st Family New Years Card: Happy (Almost) 2018!

January is just around the corner, and just like that – another year has come and gone. 2017 has been a crazy 12 months, in a good way… It’s brought me so many memories I will never forget: our first wedding anniversary, plenty of travel, and of course the news of our first baby (this was certainly a year of firsts!). We’re looking onward to 2018 more excited than ever before, as we’ll be welcoming her into the world.

To celebrate the coming of such a special year for us, Mackenzie and I wanted to try something different to commemorate it. Instead of sending the usual Christmas card, we opted for a chic New Years card instead. We used Walmart’s photo shop to design and print the card, which we’ll be sending out to our family and friends.

It was super easy to upload the photos to the website, pick a chic design, arrange everything how we liked, and add custom text. The best part? There were tons of options for same day printing, even within the hour! With this year’s holiday season being so busy for us, this was a life-saving last minute option. Of course, you can also have the cards mailed to you if you don’t live nearby one of their locations.

We were really pleased with how the cards came out – as you guys may know, photo printing services can be very expensive (especially if you’re buying a high number of units, like you would with a holiday greeting card). We were able to send dozens of these for way less than we expected. If you’d like to send a New Years card, it’s not too late to order them on Walmart – you’ll even get 30% off card stock sets, with no code needed. Happy (almost) New Year from the (almost) three of us! 😉

Your card is so darling ! And a beautiful tradition to start as a new family.

My fave part of the holidays, is for the first time I’m experiencing a white Christmas, which I have fallen in love with. Coming from Africa my eyes are wider than ever, with all the new traditions, foods. And the Christmas music makes sense for the first time !!

This year my best friend and I are starting our own Christmas traditions (being away from home and family) and that’s as exciting as your New Years card too !!!

Have a fab festive season with your new addition coming soon xx

Louise – you’re going to laugh so hard because this post it so old but I still have to ask! Where did you snag that gorgeous sparkle-like dress? I want something similar for this year’s card AND we’re expecting! (want to sell it to me? haha its so perfect!) This is my second but it has been 6 years and I’m finding all of your older preggo posts so fun and helpful this morning. Hope all is well! Love following along with reno! xoxo
