Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that gets mixed reviews, even between people who are in relationships. Some people love it and go full out, and others think it’s a bit overrated. Even though I’m a big believer in celebrating your significant other year round, I still think Valentine’s Day is a fun excuse to get dressed up and have a special night with your love, or even with your best girlfriends. For me, it always falls in the middle of fashion week, so it’s the perfect little break amidst the madness, where Mackenzie and I will make sure to set aside some time together.
Being during fashion week, my Valentine’s Day outfits can tend to be much more dressed up than they might be if we were at home (in which case we might just head to a movie in jeans), but that’s kind of what I love about it! It feels so glamorous to get dolled up in a little satin dress and killer stilettos, then head out on the town to one of our favorite spots in NY or often times exploring the city, just the two of us.
