Styling A Summer Floral Dress For Fall

Back in New York again! Seems like I’m here once every few months, and I love it. Last time I was here for fashion week with my fiancé, and just a few weeks later I’m back – but with my husband! How crazy is that? I’m still having so much fun adjusting to our new husband and wife labels. We just came off our honeymoon, and I’m still in such a playful, romantic mood when it comes to fashion right now. One of my favorite trends for this season is fall florals, and I loved having a chance to update this summery floral dress in a fall-appropriate way. I’m huge on camel in fall (check out this all-camel-everything outfit I wore last year) – I think it adds so much warmth and color to your look and is a great alternative to black. I added a touch of burgundy to bring out the colors of the flowers and for more of a fall vibe, rather than a lighter colored, woven bag that I would normally carry in spring and summer.

To style a floral dress this season, let your outer layers and accessories channel more of a fall feel. This look would even be a great option for a fall wedding as well! It can sometimes be a faux-pas to wear white to a wedding, but in my opinion when mixed into a print is totally acceptable. Another cool second layer option would be to add a leather jacket and booties with a floral dress, even with tights if you went with a mini option. Florals in fall is a great way to add some life to your wardrobe in the drearier months – try it and let me know what you think!

Your whole look is so gorgeous and romantic (of course to suit your mood!)

I love how you’ve brought florals into fall and made a dress that seems like it’s only fit for one season, so versatile! The way you’ve layered on top is making me want to pull out my floral dresses!

  • #ad Ok so this one’s for my Mum-bosses and Girl-bosses out there. Real talk. Do you guys ever feel like you’re spinning a gazillion plates in the air at once?! I have got the busiest week of all time ahead – not that I’m complaining – but I feel like I need to be more organized than ever nowadays, running a business and being a mummy at the same time. And when it’s that time of the month, not only do I cry at the drop of a hat (anyone else get teary watching a cute commercial?) but it used to be easy to let that slow me down. So, I’ve partnered with @Always_brand, (I love their Infinity pad which has a thin and flexible design so you’ll forget you’re wearing a pad), to have an open dialogue with you guys about how women can navigate through it all. What are some of the tricks, tips, products and apps you use to stay on track? #AlwaysAmbassador #ShapeMyInfinity

  • #ad Since having Honor, I feel like I’ve grown even closer to you guys. My followers have got to be the most loyal, kind and hilarious group of women ever. Nothing is off limits, and we talk about all sorts! So I’m getting personal today, and opening up about one thing that happens after birth that none of my mum friends, nor I, knew about. Pads! Yep…I’m going there. If there’s one thing you don’t want to worry about as an exhausted new mom it’s your period. So I’m partnering with @Always_brand to talk about my personal story, and the ways in which products like Always Infinity pads (with zero feel protection) can solve your new mum, after-birth worries, (and help you go about your crazy days).
