Although I’m an adopted Angeleno and really do love living in LA, I’ve been feeling so inspired by everything to do with Europe lately – perhaps it’s the long trip there that I just had recently, but I’m embracing it! Everything from home decor to fashion, food and movies, if it has a Mediterranean vibe to it, I’m sold. That’s why I loved coming to see this stunning old poolhouse at Robinson Gardens, a historic LA property in the middle of Beverly Hills. This huge property was owned by a wealthy woman in the 1920’s who took inspiration from her vacations all over the world. Huge archways, sprawling French doors and bright mosaics everywhere. It had me dreaming of the lavish parties she once hosted here.
It was a hot and sunny day, so I wore my printed swing dress by Amuse Society. I’m also big on straw boater hats for summer – there is something so chic about them, and you can so easily hide a bad hair day (like I was having on this particular day!). To me, summer is all about throwing on an easy breezy dress, a huge hat and sandals. When it’s way too hot to fuss over complicated outfits, I love to stick to that easy formula.
