I love it when the season’s change, mainly because that means planning exciting new outfits, and doing some shopping! But there’s never any reason to spend your entire mortgage on a new look. I always say, make your clothes work for you, and that means shopping smart. Not only should each piece be versatile enough to be worn with a bunch of different looks you already own, but it’s also worth sniffing out the bargains. And that’s why I love Gilt! I’ve shopped on this site for years – since it began actually – and you basically have to get in there quick, because the designer bargains are only on site for a limited amount of time, then they disappear!
I’ve teamed up with GILT to show you some of my favorite Fall trends, and curate my very own fashion sale (click here to shop it!), so you can shop what I’m wearing and more. I’ve styled my favorite pieces into looks, let me know what you think in the comments below…what will you be buying and trying this season?
A printed coat: When the weather’s cold, your outer layers create the first impression. So make one that counts this season, with a patterned coat. I love the belted oversized ones, and especially when worn over the shoulders like a cape.
Tassels on your handbag: Fringing is huge this Fall, and one of the easiest ways to pull off this 70’s trend is with a tassel or two on your handbag. Look for decadent fabrics like suede and leather, in warm neutral tones like caramel, rust or taupe.
A glamorous maxi skirt makes such a statement. But my styling tip? Pair yours with a chunky knit sweater and shoulder bag, to keep the vibe modern and young.
Over-the-knee-boots are my new obsession! The higher up the leg they go, the better – don’t be afraid to rock this sexy trend with jeans, leather pants or even a cute mini.
I hope these pieces have wet your appetite for a little Autumn wardrobe rehab…now time to get shopping!
