Backstage at Melissa Webb with TRESemmé

I had an absolute blast spending time behind-the-scenes at MBFW getting an exclusive sneak peek at how lead-stylist for TRESemmé, Jeanie Syfu, created an effortless, classic bun that complimented the non-fussy styles at Melissa Webb’s presentation.

The show was incredible, and the hair was brilliant – sexy, laid-back, and perfect to complement the bold reds and bright pink looks on the runway. I was lucky enough to get a little one-on-one time with Jeanie, too, where she showed me how to recreate this day-to-night braid at home in 3 easy steps. The best part? It looks best on second day hair (aka, no prep time).

Step 1: Scrunch Perfectly (un)DONE Wave Creation Seafoam through clean, dry hair. Create a neat center part and gather everything back into a low ponytail.

Step 2: Separate the bottom section into 2, and create a knot on top of the ponytail with the three sections.

Step 3: Create a 3-strand braid (the more pieces that stick out, the better) and wrap it into a bun, locking it all in with Perfectly (un)DONE Brushable Hold Hairspray.

Check out the full tutorial below, and stay tuned for more tips from TRESemmé!
